We’re getting practical today. Our goal is to encourage you to level up your life and business, but we also want to provide stepping stones to accomplish your goals. So, while you’ll hear us say things like, “believe in yourself,” and “go after your dreams,” in this blog, we’re going to share six attainable steps to taking your life to the next level.
And the best part about these steps is that it’s a rinse and repeat system. It’s a continuous process that leads you to an upward spiral to success.
Get organized.

Let’s talk about how to level up your life and business by getting organized first. “Organization” is a broad term and can be interpreted in many ways since we all operate differently from one another. We all have an idea of what “being organized” means to us. But we’re focusing on three organizational tips that we know will benefit your goals.
- Time: Being organized with your time comes down to personal preference. Some people love time blocking while others prefer daily to-do lists. Some want to write appointments on paper calendars while others would rather have a digital calendar. For tips on mastering time management skills and finding a method that works for you, check out these 15 must-learn time management skills.
- Space: According to Harvard™ Business Review, studies have shown that “our physical environments significantly influence our cognition, emotions, and behavior, affecting our decision-making and relationships with others.” Set yourself up for success by staying clutter-free and giving yourself space to get creative and focused.
- Routine: Build good work habits and create routines around those habits. This requires self-discipline and willpower! Routines will help you stay organized and on track to level up your life!
Set goals.

Don’t get overwhelmed! There’s actually a well-known formula that makes setting goals attainable. It’s called SMART goals, and it stands for creating goals that are:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Achievable
- Realistic
- Time-bound

Take action.

Goals don’t achieve themselves. Even if you’re scared, and even if you’re not too sure how to get it done, take action anyway. Practice doesn’t always make perfect, but it does make progress AND confidence. The more confidence you gain in yourself by doing the work, the more motivated you’ll become to keep going!
Reflect on wins and setbacks.

Although this is the fourth step in how to level up your life, it’s probably the most important of them all. Learning from your past is vital! We often say to “make your failures learning opportunities,” which is 100% true. But don’t forget to reflect on what went well! You can also learn from, repeat, or even improve on your wins!
Here are some reflective questions to ask yourself at the end of every week (or even month):
For wins:
- What did I do well this week/month?
- What were my biggest accomplishments?
- What were the circumstances that helped me achieve my goals?
- What will I repeat that worked well?
For setbacks:
- What didn’t go well this week/month?
- What got in the way of me achieving my goals?
- What can I change next week/month to fix what went wrong?
Don’t just reflect on these questions in your mind, write them down! The road to success is a winding one, and these reflection questions will help you stay on course.
Stay positive and don’t compare.

You will have good days and bad days. Working on your positive mindset is a crucial and never-ending process. Following steps one through four will help with this, but there are many other ways to proactively stay positive. Here are a few ideas:
- Stay connected with positive and like-minded people.
- Read personal growth books focusing on mindset.
- Listen to motivating podcasts.
- Keep a gratitude journal.
- Practice daily affirmations.
- DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS!
Remember that your journey is YOURS, so there is no need to “compare and despair.” If you learn how to compete with yourself and stop comparing, your mind, body, and soul will thank you. And never forget that positive self-talk matters, so learn to be your biggest cheerleader!
Repeat.
What we love about this process is that you can repeat it over and over again! And when you reach your small goals, one after the other, you’ll begin reaching your big goals and dreams.
It’s time to level up your life!
The time to level up your life and business is NOW. Your dreams are within your reach, and it doesn’t have to be an ambiguous journey. If you put this plan into action, your dreams will become a reality.
